Coming in the second quarter of 2024 at Cosner’s Corner in Fredericksburg, Virginia is School of Rock, a franchise retail music store selling instruments and offering musical lessons for their customers.
CapStar’s Winny Zhang is representing the landlord for Cosner’s Corner. Due to School of Rock offering lessons and educational services; along with being a retail store, the use of the space required special approval. “We actually had gone through the HOA [Homeowners Association] meeting to change the current restriction of rule in order to get such use approval, meaning this would be the 1st school use in Cosner's Corner,” said Zhang.
School of Rock currently has 315 locations in 15 different countries, and specializes in a performance model of teaching music, including live teacher-student shows. School of Rock is similar to an afterschool program, looking for students around the age range of 7-17 years old to enroll.
